Become a Mental Health Support Worker with Active Prospects. Service located in Redhill, Surrey. Service Type: Adult Complex Care Service. Specialities: Mental Health, Autism, Learning Disability.
This service opened Summer 2024 and supports 6 female residents in a 6-flat community. You will provide emotional support, help them develop coping mechanisms, and support their expression of self.
Responsibilities- Provide daily support to the 6 residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with emotional support and coping strategies.
- Help residents express themselves and build confidence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to implement care plans.
- Document care activities and progress in the system.
- Passion for working with people with enduring mental health needs.
- Interest in the psychology behind complex behaviours that challenge.
- Willingness to learn and practice Positive Behaviour Support.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
