Become a Mental Health Night Support Worker with Active Prospects!

Location: Redhill, Surrey – short walk from the bus stop/train station to the service. Drivers are welcome; free onsite parking available.

Salary: £15 per hour.

Service type: Adult Complex Care Service; Speciality: Mental Health, Autism, Learning Disability.

Active Prospects is recruiting for Night Support Worker(s) to join our complex care service in Redhill, Surrey.

This service consists of six individual flats supporting six females requiring a wide range of support, from emotional encouragement and learning new coping mechanisms to enabling them to express their true selves. We are looking for people who have a passion for working with individuals with enduring mental health needs, a keen interest in the psychology behind complex behaviours, and a willingness to learn and practice Positive Behaviour Support.

Responsibilities and Expectations

The role involves supporting people to lead a meaningful and ordinary life full of opportunity, fun, and achievement of their goals and aspirations. The role can be challenging, but the rewards outweigh the difficulties. You will need to be adaptable, flexible, mature, and able to support our people in gaining back their independence through empowerment, active support, positive risk‑taking, and out‑of‑the‑box thinking.

Qualifications

Passion for working with people with enduring mental health needs.

Willingness to learn and apply Positive Behaviour Support techniques.
