Mental Health Team Leader

Heathy House, Halifax

£16.20 per hour | £31,590 per annum | 37.5 hours per week

Lead People. Inspire Recovery. Make a Difference.

Are you an experienced mental health professional ready to take the next step in your leadership career?

Do you have the passion to motivate a team, drive high standards of care, and support people to achieve greater independence? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We're looking for a dedicated and inspirational Mental Health Team Leader to join our purpose-built, modern rehabilitation service, Heathy House, in Halifax. Supporting up to 10 men with mental health needs, Heathy House provides a structured and recovery-focused environment where individuals can build confidence, develop life skills and prepare for more independent living.

As Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead from the front, support and develop colleagues, and help create an environment where both residents and staff can thrive.

Working Pattern

37.5 hours per week on a structured four-week rolling rota.

You'll benefit from knowing your shifts in advance, with a mixture of early, day and late shifts. The earliest start time is 6:00am and the latest finish time is 10:00pm, with the rota operating predominantly Monday to Friday and including approximately one Saturday shift every four weeks.

Flexibility is important in this role, as occasional cover may be required to support the needs of the service along with the requirement to participate in a regional on-call service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident leader who wants to make a genuine difference whilst being part of an organisation renowned for delivering outstanding mental health services.

About Heathy House

Heathy House is a modern 10-bed residential rehabilitation service designed to bridge the gap between inpatient care and independent living.

Our focus is on empowering individuals to move forward in their recovery journey by developing practical life skills, improving wellbeing, building resilience and increasing opportunities within their local communities.

We believe that recovery is personal, and our person-centred approach enables residents to work towards meaningful goals whilst receiving the support they need every step of the way.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting leadership role where no two days are the same.

You'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the service, leading a skilled and motivated team, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained and helping residents achieve positive outcomes.

You'll be someone who can lead by example, build strong relationships, and create a culture that promotes learning, development and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading, motivating and supporting a team to deliver exceptional care and support
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential
  • Promoting a positive, recovery-focused culture throughout the service
  • Ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred support
  • Supporting effective care planning, risk management and accurate record keeping
  • Maintaining compliance with CQC standards, legislation and organisational policies
  • Assisting with staffing, rota management and resource planning
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development
  • Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring quality, completing audits and driving continuous improvement
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with the overall operation of the service
  • Participating in the local on-call rota and providing management cover when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health needs
  • Leadership or supervisory experience within a health or social care setting
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and CQC requirements
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience of care planning, audits and quality assurance processes
  • The ability to lead with confidence, empathy and professionalism
  • A genuine commitment to recovery-focused and person-centred support

Most importantly, you'll share our passion for helping people live healthier, more independent and fulfilling lives.
