Are you passionate about creating spaces where people can grow, connect and lead?
Active Partnerships are looking for a Learning and Development Lead to help shape how learning is experienced across the 42 Active Partnerships. This is a national, part-time role focused on enabling people to feel confident, connected and included as they grow in their roles.
About the Role
People across the Active Partnerships network are doing brilliant, diverse work - but many want more clarity and connection when it comes to learning and development. In this role, you\'ll lead the work to \"join the dots\" - helping people find learning that\'s relevant, making onboarding more welcoming, and building a stronger shared culture of development across the network.
As Learning and Development Lead you\'ll support the development of inclusive leadership pathways, peer learning spaces and accessible learning offers that reflect a range of lived experiences, learning styles, and practical realities. This role is all about people, relationships, and belonging.
What You\'ll Be Doing
- Designing and improving how people access and experience learning across the network
- Shaping inclusive onboarding and induction pathways for new staff
- Supporting peer learning, knowledge-sharing, and leadership development
- Listening to the needs of teams and helping reduce duplication or barriers
- Helping build a culture of learning where growth is embedded, not top-down
- Working closely with national and local teams to support network-wide goals
You\'ll Thrive in This Role If You
- Understand how learning and inclusion go hand in hand
- Are skilled at connecting people and ideas across different settings
- Can work independently and bring structure to ambiguity
- Know how to design inclusive learning experiences - even if you\'re not always the one delivering them
- Are thoughtful about systems, onboarding, equity, and access
- Enjoy facilitating spaces for reflection, learning, and shared purpose
You might come from learning and development, people development, coaching, inclusion or education. Or maybe you\'ve done similar work in a different setting entirely. What matters most is how you think, how you build relationships and how you make learning feel accessible and meaningful.
Why This Role Matters
By 2027, Active Partnerships want people across the network to say:
- \"I feel confident navigating learning in this network.
- \"Onboarding helped me feel part of something.\"
- \"Our learning culture feels inclusive and connected.\"
You\'ll play a central role in making that happen.
