Easthampstead Park is situated in a breathtaking Grade II listed Victorian mansion. Our prestigious venue offers a captivating blend of elegance and natural beauty. Steeped in history and charm, this magnificent property provides the perfect setting for a wide range of conferences, meetings, training workshops, and unforgettable team retreats. Our grounds and mansion are also renowned for hosting stunning weddings & celebrations for up to 500 guests, boasting an enchanting wedding pavilion, resplendent original stained-glass window, a sophisticated Downshire ballroom, as well as our stunning King Suite, the largest event space in Berkshire, catering for up to 500 people.

We are looking for a dynamic Hotel Receptionist to join our Team. The role involves working a variety of shifts as follows: 06.00/07.00am - 3.00pm and 2.30pm - 10.30pm. The above shifts are essential to the role & non-negotiable.

As Hotel Receptionist you will be responsible for offering a welcoming and seamless check in/check-out experience, manage incoming calls for bookings or general enquiries and promote the hotel's facilities and services in a positive way optimising every opportunity. You will have a natural, warm, engaging personality, excellent attention to detail and have the ability to remain calm in all situations. Experience in the use of OPERA would be a distinct advantage.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the service offered to guests is personal, memorable and to a 4 star hotel standard.
  • Build relationships with guests, ensuring that they want to return to Easthampstead Park.
  • Ensure good communication with all departments throughout the hotels.
  • Check in and check out of hotel guests, inclusive of taking payments and reconciling banking.
  • Handle, follow-up and communicate any comments or complaints from guests, passing them on to the Front of House Manager as necessary.
  • Be familiar with and promote the hotel facilities.
  • To have an excellent knowledge of all reception procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Opera System would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
