Our prestigious venue offers a captivating blend of elegance and natural beauty. Steeped in history and charm, this magnificent property provides the perfect setting for a wide range of conferences, meetings, training workshops, and unforgettable team retreats. Our grounds and mansion are also renowned for hosting stunning weddings celebrations for up to 500 guests, boasting an enchanting wedding pavilion, resplendent original stained-glass window, a sophisticated Downshire ballroom, as well as our stunning King Suite, the largest event space in Berkshire, catering for up to 500 people. /p p We are seeking a dynamic Operational Wedding and Events Manager to run weddings and events in our stunning hotel. You will need positive energy, excellent communication skills, a passion for service excellence and be of immaculate presentation. /p p b PLEASE NOTE: This is an operational role which often includes late nights and weekends when you are running a wedding or event. It can be physically demanding and is not an office-based administrative role. /b /p p b Primary Responsibilities /b /p ul li Operating all conferencing, weddings and banqueting on site. /li li Organising and conducting training in line with brand standards. /li li Leading the conference and banqueting team in delivering a first class service at all events. /li li The set up and tear down of all event rooms in line with function requirements. /li li Meeting and greeting clients to build and develop a lasting relationship. /li li Working in line with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition from time of enquiry to time of leaving. /li /ul p b Skills/Experience /b /p ul li Excellent maths and English /li li Hotel / Hospitality background /li li Team leader experience. /li li Knowledge of Opera, preferred but not essential /li li Microsoft office – word, excel, outlook etc. Excellent written and oral communication – must be confident and articulate /li li Creative – originality and new ideas highly valued /li li Eye for design with high attention to detail /li li Well organised /li li Very well presented in keeping with client expectations in a four star Hotel /li /ul p Job Type: Full-time 45 hpw /p p Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum plus tips (dependent on experience) /p
