KITCHEN PORTER - CASUAL/ZERO HOURS Overview We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a high standard of service in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Previous experience in food preparation or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training will be provided. Duties Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor Supporting the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain a safe working environment Organising storage areas and ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely Helping with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently Assisting with stock rotation and inventory checks as needed Supporting the serving staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow Experience Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential Familiarity with basic food preparation and kitchen procedures is an advantage Experience in hospitality or culinary roles can be beneficial for understanding service standards Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the demands of a dynamic kitchen environment This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career within the hospitality industry.
