Redgate Sports is looking for enthusiastic coaches to deliver daytime sports sessions and mentoring for children in schools and community settings. Flexible hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work supporting vulnerable young people. We anticipate this being a self‑employed role. We have opportunities ranging from a couple of hours a week to several days a week.

Salary: Competitive hourly or daily rates paid plus expenses.

Hours: Part Time.

Contract: Self‑employed.

Location: Worcestershire (with some work in surrounding areas)

About Us

Redgate Sports is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people through sport and mentoring. We work with children who are care‑experienced, have special educational needs, are at risk of exclusion, or come from low‑income families. Due to growing demand and recent funding, we are looking for motivated, self‑employed Sports Coaches and Mentors to join our team in Worcestershire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high‑quality sports coaching sessions
  • Build positive relationships with children and young people
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and mentoring support
  • Manage your own schedule and adapt to the needs of schools and community partners
  • Work collaboratively with the Redgate team to develop and improve programme delivery

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience in sports coaching
  • A genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives
  • Strong communication skills — patient, kind, and able to build rapport
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel to multiple venues
  • Willingness to work on a self‑employed basis
  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory DBS check (supported during recruitment)
  • Experience working with vulnerable children, young people, or those with SEND
  • First Aid qualification (can be completed during recruitment)

Pay

We offer competitive hourly and daily rates based on qualifications and experience. All work is daytime and not weather‑dependent. Expenses paid.
