Access Sport is looking for a part‑time Volunteer Coordinator to support the development of inclusive volunteering pathways in grassroots football across Sheffield. This role is funded through a partnership with The FA, focused on increasing the number and diversity of volunteers within grassroots football, with a particular emphasis on disabled volunteers and those supporting the disability football pathway.
Responsibilities
- The post holder will work closely with community organisations, disability groups, grassroots clubs and FA partners to recruit, support and retain volunteers, helping clubs build sustainable and inclusive volunteering structures.
- Community sport provides many benefits for disabled and underserved young people, including improving physical and mental wellbeing, confidence, life skills and community connection.
- However, disabled people remain significantly less likely to be active than non‑disabled people, and many communities face barriers to participation.
- This role plays a key role in strengthening inclusive pathways into volunteering and football locally.
