We are one of 42 Active Partnerships in England, working closely with and primarily funded by Sport England, and a Company Limited by Guarantee with Charitable status. Our purpose is to encourage more people to be active and play sport and do this through supporting our partners through connecting, influencing and providing opportunities to be active. A third of us are inactive β as a charity we work closely with partners to help individuals and communities overcome barriers and build healthy habits for life. Our work is increasingly focused in tackling inequalities and reducing inactivity in areas where it is needed most.

A truly diverse Board will include and make good use of differences in the skills, experience, background, race, gender and other qualities of Board member. As a reflection of this commitment we will maintain a balance of no more than 70% of any of these factors.
