Leicestershire County Cricket Club (LCCC) is recruiting a HCPC registered Physiotherapist to join our Sports Science and Medicine Department. This is a 0.5FTE fixed term role based at the Upton Steel County Ground (LE2 8EB), with regular travel throughout the cricket season (April – October), including occasional overnight stays.

The successful candidate would need to be adaptive, fulfilling physiotherapy duties across the Senior Men, Tier 2 Women and Academy Squads and report to the Head of Sports Science and Medicine.

  • Fulfil the role of a chartered physiotherapist in the prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation of all injuries.
  • Provide pitch-side physiotherapy cover for fixtures and training across professional men's, Tier 2 women and academy squads throughout the season.
  • Manage all injury cases proactively, communicating clearly with coaching staff and wider MDT when required.
  • Complete and maintain good clinical records using the Athlete Management System (AMS), sharing with other health professionals as required.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sports Science and Medicine and Club Doctor to manage complex injuries using good evidence-based practice.
  • Assist with musculoskeletal screening and injury risk profiling to develop individualised preparation plans.
  • Carry out other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the Head of Sports Science and Medicine / Lead physiotherapist.
