Upstarts Gymnastics CIO is currently seeking an enthusiastic Level 2 Gymnastics Coach to be Recreational Gymnastics Lead. Working closely with the Director of Coaching, you will deliver quality gymnastics sessions and manage the recreational program. This role includes both coaching and administrative hours.

As the Recreational Gymnastics Lead, you will oversee the running of the club and be the main point of contact for coaches, parents, and gymnasts in the absence of the Director of Coaching. You will manage all aspects of Recreational Gymnastics, ensuring a safe, stimulating, educational, and fun training program for gymnasts at all levels. You will ensure all coaches understand the program and deliver coaching to the required standard. Additionally, you will support coaches, trainees, and volunteers in their personal progression through mentorship.

Your responsibilities will also include administrative tasks, ensuring timely and professional communication. You will need to be computer literate and able to learn how to use our administrative system.

We are looking for someone energetic and enthusiastic, with a desire to help build and develop the club. As a charity, we are involved in fundraising events, and we are looking for someone who is willing to contribute. You should be organized, have good attention to detail, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as you may need to have challenging discussions with parents regarding their children's performance.

Initially, we are looking for someone to be in the gym during the following hours:

  • Monday 3.45 - 8.15pm
  • Thursday 3.45 - 6.15pm
  • Friday 3.45 - 8.45pm

There will be additional hours for absence cover, with the potential to build hours to include Tuesday evening and Saturday morning or afternoon. In addition to coaching hours, the administrative work is paid for five hours a week, expected to be spread over the week as necessary for routine emails and daily planning. In the long term, there may be scope to increase the number of coaching hours.
