Join Our Team as an Aquatic and Activity Activator

Did you know we have over 6,000 swimmers per week on our KAL Learn 2 Swim programme? As our programme grows, we need our workforce to expand accordingly. We are now recruiting for an Aquatic and Activity Activator. There are Grade B and Grade C roles available, depending on experience.

We continually develop ourselves and invest heavily in our facilities to provide the best experience for our customers. We have over 3 million visits annually, an annual turnover of more than £15 million, over 17,000 members, and more than 6,000 people taking swimming lessons.

Minimum Requirements

  • Swim England (STA) Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification or equivalent (e.g., STA), with internal training and RPL during the first 6 months
  • RLSS National Pool Lifeguard or NRASTC Qualification, or ability to complete within the first 3 months of employment
  • Flexibility to work daytime, evening, and weekend hours
  • At least 6 months\’ experience in aquatics and activity roles, either through work or volunteering
  • Grade C or previous experience supervising staff, or the ability to do so

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality sessions following the Swim England Learn to Swim/School Swimming Charter Scheme, ensuring excellent customer experiences
  • Use KAL\’s recording systems to communicate children\’s progression to parents and teachers effectively
