Are you a podiatrist looking for more flexibility, greater clinical variety, or the opportunity to help build and lead a growing podiatry service? At Active Health Solutions, we know that not every podiatrist is looking for the same type of role. That is why we are open to creating an arrangement that works for the right person. This opportunity could be structured as:
- A flexible associate or fee-share arrangement

We are looking for a motivated and patient-focused podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team across our clinics in Holywood and Bangor.
About Active Health: Active Health is an established and growing private healthcare business providing physiotherapy, podiatry, sports therapy, Pilates, rehabilitation and specialist services. Our team works collaboratively to help people move better, stay active and live with less pain. You would be joining a supportive clinical environment with access to an existing patient base, strong internal referral opportunities and the infrastructure needed to focus on delivering excellent care.
The Opportunity: This can be shaped around your experience, interests and longer-term ambitions. You may be:
- A newly qualified podiatrist looking for mentoring and support

- An NHS podiatrist interested in developing private practice
- A sole practitioner who would like to reduce the administrative burden of running a clinic
- A returning podiatrist looking for a gradual route back into practice
- An ambitious clinician interested in leading and growing a podiatry service
- An established podiatrist looking for a future ownership or partnership opportunity
Hours can be flexible, from one or two sessions per week through to a full-time role. You may work in Holywood, Bangor or across both locations.
Clinical scope: The role can include a varied mix of:
- General and routine podiatry
- Musculoskeletal and sports podiatry
- Biomechanical and gait assessment
- Nail surgery
- Diabetic and high-risk foot care
- Orthotic assessment
- Verruca treatment
- Running and lower-limb assessments
- Collaborative rehabilitation with physiotherapists and sports therapists
We are particularly interested in supporting someone who would like to develop a specialist area or introduce new podiatry services.
What we provide: Depending on the agreed structure, we can offer:
- An established clinic and existing referral network
- Reception, diary management and payment processing
- Marketing and website support
- Clinical rooms, equipment and consumables
- Practice management software
- Support with governance, policies and administration
- Internal referrals from physiotherapy, sports therapy and Pilates
- Flexible working arrangements
- Paid holiday and pension for employed roles
- CPD support and protected development time
- HCPC and professional membership support
- Mentoring for graduates or returning podiatrists
- A temporary guaranteed income while your diary develops
- Performance-related bonus or profit share for service growth
- A potential pathway to clinical leadership and future partnership
Employed option: For someone looking for security and stability, we can offer a competitive salary based on experience, alongside pension, paid holiday, professional fees, CPD support and flexible working. We are open to full-time, part-time and four-day-week arrangements.
Associate option: For podiatrists who prefer greater independence, we can offer a competitive fee-share arrangement with full administrative, reception and marketing support. You would not be expected to bring an existing patient list.
Clinical Lead and future partnership option: For the right person, there is an opportunity to lead the development of podiatry across Active Health. This could include:
- Shaping the clinical service
- Developing new treatments and specialist services
- Helping recruit and support future podiatrists
- Building referral relationships
- Contributing to service pricing, marketing and growth
- Earning a performance-related profit share
- Progressing towards a future minority partnership or equity arrangement
Any partnership pathway would be structured gradually, with clear and mutually agreed milestones.
About you: You will be:
- HCPC registered, or eligible for registration
- Committed to high-quality, patient-centred care
- Friendly, professional and able to build strong relationships
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Interested in developing your skills and contributing to a growing service
Experience in private practice is welcome but not essential. Support may also be available for return-to-practice candidates and internationally qualified podiatrists progressing through the HCPC registration process.
Why join Active Health? This is more than an opportunity to rent a room or inherit a busy diary. You will have the chance to develop a podiatry role that suits your life, clinical interests and ambitions, while being supported by an established multidisciplinary healthcare team.
