Active Force Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established optical practice in Wells for an experienced
Optical Manager
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in optics who enjoys leading a team and delivering excellent customer service.
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting your team, and ensuring patients receive a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the optical practice
- Lead, support and develop the optical team
- Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
- Assist customers with choosing suitable frames and lenses
- Oversee the fitting, adjustment and repair of eyewear
- Manage stock levels and order optical supplies when required
- Maintain accurate patient records and appointment schedules
- Carry out or oversee basic laboratory procedures, including lens edging and fitting
- Ensure the practice complies with health and safety standards
About You We're looking for someone who has
- Previous experience working in an optical practice
- Experience managing or supervising a team
- Good knowledge of optical products, dispensing and laboratory procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A strong focus on customer care
- Good attention to detail
Relevant optical qualifications or an Ophthalmic Dispensing qualification would be an advantage but are not essential.
