We are seeking a Private Trip Planner to join our dynamic team and help us successfully execute exceptional active travel experiences across the UK. This person will work across both our B2C and B2B (Adventure by AE) Product. The successful candidate will be driven, detail-orientated, customer centric and passionate about planning trips that provide our customers with the most memorable week of their year.
Active England Tours is an active travel company providing an unrivalled premium experience for active inbound international tourists and residents in England. We run beautifully curated, high-end, active tours including guided, self-guided and bespoke cycling, walking, swimming and wellbeing adventures. From our origin in the Cotswolds, we have become the premier provider of active holidays across England. We run trips in Devon, Cornwall, the Lake District, Yorkshire and Northumberland. While running our own direct tours, we also work with numerous business partners within the industry through our Adventure by AE brand, creating and operating their UK & Ireland active holidays. Our mission is to open up England as a destination for active travel and continue to be the go-to travel company to book and work with!

Relevant and Desired Experience:
- Destination Knowledge within the UK.
- Previous experience in Planning Itineraries or a related role.
- Previous experience working within the Travel Industry.
- Experience in working with CRM and Booking Systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
Main responsibilities:
- Itinerary Planning – You will work closely with our Commercial & Product Managers to create detailed travel plans, including accommodation, transportation, meals and activities for both individuals and groups.
- Engaging with Clients – You will collaborate with our clients to gather information, and help design trips that align with their specifications, needs and budgets.
- Destination Research – You will conduct research on different destinations and suppliers to offer well-informed recommendations that will improve the itineraries for which you are responsible.
- Problem solving – you will come to the table with creative solutions to problems, with intelligent, operational thinking at its core to solve problems and find solutions.
- Bookings & Logistics – you will handle all bookings for each itinerary, guaranteeing the smooth operation of each trip daily. Your role will involve mitigating any potential issues that may occur, to ensure a seamless experience for the end customer.
- Supplier Management – Building and maintaining relationships with all suppliers, working to negotiate rates, whilst ensuring payment and cancellation deadlines are met.
- Customer Service – Providing Pre trip and on the ground support to both our Guides and Customers, handling any changes and working to resolve any complaints or issues.
- Financial Management – Working to identify any cost saving opportunities and effectively managing all expenses related to trips, while ensuring compliance to pre-established budgets.
- Research – Working alongside the product managers, you will work to research new supplier opportunities – sourcing the best Hotel & Experience providers across a luxury VIP market and mid-range market in the UK to ensure AET consistently delivers the highest quality services to our clients.
