As a Program Assistant/Activities Assistant, you will provide loving care and assistance to our members by helping them with activities, personal and medical care, meals, and on and off-site social activities. Our Program Assistants are always smiling and creating a warm and welcoming environment, all while ensuring our members are safe, happy, and well.

Responsibilities
As a Program Assistant/Activities Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting members with activities, personal care and some medical care
- Assisting with the planning and facilitation of fun, creative and diverse recreational programs and encourage member participation
- Serving meals and assisting with meals
- Ensuring our members enjoy a loving and caring environment that will bring joy to our members’ hearts and a smile to their faces!
Qualifications
As a Program Assistant/Activities Assistant, you will have the following qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- At least one of the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred or a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience
- One or more years of related experience in working with individuals in a health care or social service setting
- Satisfactory completion of requirements of the Department of Education necessary to be a nursing assistant
- Prior experience working with a Spectrum diagnosis and/or other intellectual delays or physical disabilities helpful
This is a very physical job - we are ACTIVE Day after all! As a result, you will need to be able to:
- Push, pull, lift, transfer, pivot at least 50 pounds
- Sit, Stand and/or Walk up to 8 hours a day
