LGV 2 Driver delivering palletised freight locally in Dudley/Wolverhampton area. We are seeking a motivated and experienced LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods efficiently across various routes.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 commercial vehicle, curtainsided with tail lift.
- Load and unload freight using electric pallet truck.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Deliver goods accurately to designated locations while adhering to scheduled routes and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Valid LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) license with a clean driving record.
