We'd like you to join us as a Rehabilitation Assistant at our service Frenchay in Bristol. Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre is a 52 bed centre, specialising in the treatment of adults with complex physical and cognitive impairments, challenging behaviours and neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from a brain injury. We offer comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy with amazing facilities including accessible therapy kitchens, hydrotherapy pool, two gymnasiums plus five large day rooms, three with direct access to landscaped gardens. We also have two minibuses and a car for those important appointments and days out!

What you’ll be working:

  • Part time/ Full time
  • Minimum 23 hrs per week
  • Days and nights flexible
  • Weekend working on a rota
  • Rate: starting from £12.83 up to £14.38 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Interview will be on 29th of April 2025.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support our patients with all their personal care needs which include washing, dressing, toileting, and nutritional needs.
  • Assist nursing staff in providing high quality individualised care to a clearly defined group of patients, relatives and carers.
  • Work and act as a key member of the team, supporting each patient in achievement of their planned outcomes.
  • Build relationships with patients, which are open and two way.
  • Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme.
  • Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary.
  • Communicate any issues to the clinical team.
  • Accurately report and/or record work activities.

What you’ll have:

  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting is required.
  • A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
