We are extremely proud to offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired / traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions.
We are looking for a Paediatric Rehabilitation Support Worker/Teaching Assistant to support our delightful young 6-year-old female client who has multiple complex needs both at home and within school.
About the role:
The client requires assistance with all aspects of daily living including; personal care, PEG feeding, administration of medications, applying BAHA hearing device. The client is a wheelchair user although she can walk short distances. She communicates via gestures, signing, some words and has new communication devices which she will need support to use. Part of the role will be to support our client at school, ensuring she participates in lessons, has assistance in using assistive technology equipment to help demonstrate her learning and understanding, and participate safely in all aspects of school life.
Our client likes relaxing at home with her family, watching Disney movies and her iPad, listening to music and nursery rhymes and loves singing along to them, bouncing on her trampoline, walks in her pushchair, being read to, and her sensory lights. She loves going to the park on the swing and days out to the farm, sensory rooms/soft play, hydrotherapy, horse riding. Part of your role will be to help her to participate in all these activities and aspects of her life whilst empowering her to be as independent as possible.
What you\’ll be working:
- Full time and Part time positions available.
- Before and after school hours, additional hours in school holidays and some weekends.
Salary: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour

We are seeking staff with excellent communication skills and a desire to provide individualized support.

Previous care or teaching experience with children is preferred.

Staff must be able to participate in a range of activities with the client such as hydrotherapy, and outdoor activities.

Flexible support is required to cover throughout the week in both term time and school holidays, plus overnight shifts.

Driver with full UK License essential.
The successful applicants will receive full training for this role, input from therapists and regular supervision by the Case Manager.
The role is subject to evidence of relevant qualifications and experience, a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, two references and completion of a probationary period
Please note we are NOT able to offer sponsorship for this role and therefore will not be able to progress any candidates who require a certificate of sponsorship to work in the UK.
