We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to work across 4 of our amazing Neurological Rehabilitation services - Christchurch View (Northampton), Loyd House (Northampton), Park House (Bedford) and Kingly Terrace (Rushden).
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Registered Manager/Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, responsive maintenance service across multiple residential care settings. You will ensure that all properties are maintained to a safe, compliant, and high standard, supporting the delivery of a safe and comfortable environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
What you'll be working:
- Full time - 37.5Hrs per week
- Working across 4 services Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm
- Salary: £28,000.79
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, maintenance, and compliance across all allocated sites.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies across all services.
- Travel between multiple sites as required, prioritising workload effectively to meet service needs.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and Active Care Group policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work carried out, including reporting and updating relevant systems.
- Identify and report hazards, risks, and required improvements to management.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained in good working condition.
- Liaise with external contractors for specialist works and ensure compliance with site requirements, including obtaining and reviewing RAMS.
- Monitor and report on the quality of contractor work completed on site.
- Support with routine checks, including fire safety, water safety, and environmental compliance.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented environment across all services.
- Behave in a manner that upholds the reputation of the Organisation at all times.
- Undertake relevant training to ensure safe and effective delivery of maintenance services.
- Follow local on-call procedures, where required, in the event of urgent maintenance issues.
