Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, part of Active Care Group, is a specialist neurorehabilitation service with 39 beds, delivering high-quality rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injury and complex neurological conditions.
We support individuals with Level 1 and Level 2 rehabilitation needs, including those with a combination of physical, cognitive, behavioural, and psychosocial challenges. Rehabilitation is delivered through a coordinated multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice, structured care pathways, and goal-oriented, patient-centred outcomes.

We are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
The role: As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Deliver safe, innovative, evidence-based OT interventions grounded in neuroplasticity and motor re-learning principles
- Manage and prioritise a complex caseload, acting as a Key Worker for patients to coordinate their rehabilitation journey
- Contribute to diagnosis, problem formulation, and rehabilitation planning as part of an MDT
- Plan and support safe discharges, including prescribing and providing equipment where needed
- Maintain high standards of clinical records and ensure timely, effective communication with patients, families, the MDT, and external agencies
- Supervise junior staff, assistants, and students and contribute to in-service training
- Take part in service developments and may occasionally provide cover at our nearby Chislehurst site
Person Specification:
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience working within a neurorehabilitation setting
- Confident managing a complex caseload and delivering patient-centred interventions
- Motivated, collaborative, and committed to delivering meaningful outcomes
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
