We have a wonderful opportunity for an Administrator to join our fantastic team at Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, located in South East London, providing an effective administrative and secretarial service to the multi-disciplinary team and support the smooth running of the hospital by supporting the management team and liaising with the wider business, families and external businesses.
At Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, we are specialists in the treatment of patients over the age of 18 with physical and cognitive impairments and/or neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from a brain injury or other neurological condition. We support our patients through assessment, rehabilitation, support and care across two wards. We focus on the use of clinical expertise, innovation and technology to meet patients' expectations of rehabilitation goals.
What you'll be working:
- 18.5 hours per week.
- 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
- Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday 10:00am to 16:00pm
What you'll be doing:
- Take receipt of all correspondence, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken.
- Producing complex clinical letters, reports, case summaries and other correspondence as required by the Consultant and medical team, whilst ensuring a high degree of accuracy in medical terminology and clinical details.
- Act as the focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries.
- Entering patient data on the patient registration system on behalf of the Consultant/medical team in a timely manner.
- Manage and co-ordinate the Consultant's electronic diary.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff.
What you'll have:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Good level of education (including Maths and English).
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Organise relevant clinical meetings.
- Understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
