We\’d like you to join us as a Live In Support Worker to support our male client who lives nearDerby in Morley, Derbyshire.
Meet the client:
I like to be outdoors and I enjoy being busy. In my spare time I like gaming, gardening and socialising. I need a Support Worker who will promote my independence and prompt me with aspects of daily living. Rehabilitation and ongoing progress is important to me, so support with my physio, OT and escorting me to hydrotherapy sessions will be part of the role. Looking for a support worker who is outgoing and enjoys conversation.
What you\’ll be doing:
This role is to support our male client who has suffered a brain injury. The client is an independent young man who wears a prosthetic and is working with a therapist with his rehabilitation.
He requires minimal support with personal care and help with domestic duties. The right candidate will support while encouraging independence and providing reassurance when needed. The client does spend a lot of independent time with his family, therefore there will be downtime where you will have time to yourself.
You will be required to drive our client\’s vehicle so the client can actively access the community. Therefore you must hold a full UK drivers licence.
When you\’ll be working:
- We are looking for a regular team to work permanently with our client
- Assignments: 2 week on, 2 week off
- Assignments and breaks will be planned in advance
