Durham | Up to £162 per day | Live in 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
Are you looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference? A job that’s heartfelt, purposeful, and rewarding every single day? We’re creating a new Care in the Home team and are seeking compassionate, dependable Female Live in Support Workers to help a friendly, independent woman settle into her new home in Durham as she continues life with a spinal cord injury. This role is more than providing care — it’s about championing independence, building trust, and supporting someone to live life fully.
About the Client
She’s a vibrant, friendly woman who loves to look and feel her best — getting her hair and nails done is one of the little rituals that bring her joy. Comfort matters to her, but so does staying involved in the everyday activities she enjoyed before her injury, and she’s determined to keep pushing for as much independence as possible. Therapy is an important part of her routine, including regular hydrotherapy sessions, so she really values having a supportive driver who can help her get where she needs to be. She’s also looking forward to spending more time in the kitchen, trying out cooking again and getting hands‑on with new skills. A true animal lover, she previously studied zoology and enjoys being around pets — while she doesn’t have any of her own at home, the family cat may make the occasional appearance. She’ll be settling into her new rental home and living independently, with her mum dropping in for visits or the odd stay to offer a bit of extra company.
Your Role
- Work 2:1 with the client, alongside 12 hour shift day and night staff.
- Deliver personal care and medication support.
- Assist with moving and handling.
- Help with household tasks and everyday errands.
- Drive the client to appointments, social activities, and outings. (Full clean UK driving licence ideal – no international licences accepted due to insurance requirements)
What We’re Looking For
- A kind, patient, and compassionate approach.
- Reliability and dedication to person-centred care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Consistent availability to support continuity of care.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
What You’ll Receive
- Up to £162 per day on a flexible zero‑hour contract (dependent on experience/qualifications).
- Flexible live in shifts — 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.
- Specialist training, shadow shifts & ongoing Care Manager support.
- Consistent, predictable rotas.
- Accrued holiday pay & Nest pension.
- Recognition awards.
- Refer a Friend — earn up to £1,500.
- Clear pathways for career development with one of the UK’s leading complex care providers.
