CCMS are fully committed to delivering excellent support to all our clients and their families and put their thoughts and expectations at the heart of everything we do. We offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from acquired/ traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions. We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join the support team of a young man with a brain injury living with his family in the Dewsbury area.

What you will be working:

  • Support worker - 20 hours per week
  • Permanent
  • £13.46 per hour weekdays / £14.49 per hour weekends
  • 2 x 10 hour shifts per week 8.00am - 6.00pm on a rota basis, including every other Saturday
  • This position will come with a degree of flexible working to support the pursuit of interests in live music, extra shifts and the cover of staff sickness and annual leave

Who We Are:

We offer a bespoke Case Management Service for people of all ages, with a particular emphasis on those recovering from acquired brain injuries.

The Role:

  • Support and contribute towards the planning and delivery of individual care, supporting in all aspects of daily living, as our client has physical, sensory & cognitive disabilities and is wheelchair dependent.
  • Work with a treatment team of therapists (SALT, Physiotherapist & Occupational Therapist) to complete therapy programmes, motivate & engage the client in recreational & educational activities. Experience in delivering therapy programmes is desirable but full training will be provided.
  • Experience of working with young adults with physical & cognitive impairment is essential. The position is suited to someone who has a positive attitude plus the ability to motivate & engage. The young man is a music enthusiast, loves comedy and likes to go out for food.
  • Someone with a musical interest would be preferable but not essential.
  • A current driving license is essential. Experience of driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle is preferable, but not essential as training will be provided.
