Within the Care in the Home division, we support children and young people with complex health needs to live at home with their families.

We\’d like you to join us as a Children\’s Support Worker with our brand new young client in Redruth.

Meet the Client:

I am a 11 year old boy. I had a stroke and birth and because of this I have Global Developmental Delay and right sided hemiplegia – this means my right side is weaker than my left. I have a Gastrostomy insitu and I have all my feeds and medication through his. Due to my stroke at birth we think the wiring is not quite right and have a tendency to hurt myself. I wear a splint to stop me from doing this but I need constant support. I am looking for someone to come and look after me so my mum and dad can do their day to day tasks, someone who likes to read stories and sing songs as I enjoy this.

When you\’ll be working:

  • We have evenings and weekends available
  • Weekday Evenings (4.15pm-8.15pm)
  • Weekends – Saturdays and Sundays available (1pm-8pm)

What you\’ll be doing:

This role is to support our brand new young client with complex health needs in his family home, during the evenings / weekends. Our clients needs include learning disabilities, PEG, epilepsy and he is non-verbal.

Full training, shadow shifts and ongoing support will be provided.
