We have an amazing opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our catering team at our Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre in Wishaw.
You will work closely with the catering team, ensuring a high-quality food service for the patients, residents, young people and colleagues. Murdostoun provides specialist rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from an acquired brain injury, and we also provide residential care for individuals with progressive neurological conditions.
What you’ll be working: Bank hours £13.31 per hour
What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare and cook food to meet the requirements of planned menus.
- Preparation and distribution of all functions and hospitality work across the service.
- Assisting in the assembly and distribution of patients, residents, and young people’s meals where required, ensuring that the temperatures of food are monitored and recorded.
- Operation of the dishwashing machine as required.
- Ensure all equipment used in the kitchen and dining room is clean and hygienic.
- Assist the Chef in preparing for special functions as required.
- Ensure any special dietary instructions are correctly followed.
- Maintain their own training compliance with and ensure they are up to date with regulatory standards.
- Adherence to all Group policies and procedures, and ensuring that all colleagues in the service are aware of and understand company policies.
What you’ll have:
- Previous catering experience preferred

- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
