Park House Neurological Rehabilitation Service in Bedfordshire provides accommodation for 14 adult residents and offers person‑centred, evidence‑based rehabilitation care plans. All residents are in wheelchair‑accessible accommodation, including a wheelchair‑accessible lift, training kitchen and garden. The service is supported by a multidisciplinary team including a Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Psychologist as required.
What you’ll be working:
- 37.5 hours per week Monday‑Friday or as required to meet the needs of the service.
- As Registered Manager, there is an expectation to be available outside of these hours in an emergency.
Salary: £46,000 FTE per annum (Pro rata)
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring individuals’ needs are met.
- Ensuring business objectives are met.
- Keeping up‑to‑date with changes or new legislation affecting the provision of services.
- Delivering training for inductees and existing employees, as required.
- Facilitating CQC inspections to ensure 100% compliance.
- Ensuring the service has the required level of resources to support the individuals, including ensuring that the service is fully staffed according to agreed levels.
- Maintaining the staffing provision using the rostering system.
- Monitoring service quality, utilising all care and business systems to ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, in line with organisational, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Supporting Quality Assurance activities of own and other services, achieving 100% compliance.
- Acting as a representative of Active Care Group at all times.
- Liaising with external stakeholders, including medical professionals, care managers, families, advocates, therapists and prospective individuals.
- Supporting referral activities – including service visits and assessments.
- Supporting individuals’ ongoing medical needs.
- Supporting individuals who may require behaviour management.
What you’ll have:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a similar setting.
- Experience in managing a team of support workers and therapists.
- QCF or NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or a qualification as a nurse or therapist.
- Good leadership skills.
- Excellent understanding of the relevant regulatory framework, regulations and legislation.
- Excellent analytical and budgetary skills.
- Experience in coaching and developing colleagues.
- Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
- Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
- Self‑confidence and ability to manage challenging situations.
