We are seeking experienced, highly motivated, and proactive Female Support Workers for a live-in package in Worcestershire. Candidates must have a full clean Driving Licence and be able to work on a rolling 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off shift pattern. This role is a zero-hour contract with regular shifts once assigned to a client, ensuring continuity of care.
Attendance at our company training is required, which includes staying away from home for 5 days. We will cover travel and accommodation costs, and breakfast will be provided.
*Due to a genuine occupational requirement, this role is exclusively recruiting Female Support Workers. This is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9.
Meet our client:
Our client is a lovely gentleman with a spinal cord injury who enjoys staying active. He is a dedicated vegetarian and prefers tasty vegetarian meals with support workers. He has two dogs which he adores and needs assistance with their care.
When you\'ll be working:
- Rolling rota: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
- Living in the client’s home 24/7 during shifts
- Zero-hour contract with regular shifts as described
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the client to exercise choice and control over their daily life
- Liaising with and supporting the family as needed
- Assisting with hygiene tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting
- Supporting the client to access local amenities and community events
- Following the client’s care plan
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Participating in manual handling procedures
- Maintaining professional boundaries with the client and family
What you will have:
- A full clean driving licence
- A genuine interest in providing person-centred care
- Experience with individuals with spinal injuries is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
