Our Board of Trustees is united by a passion for improving community wellbeing and creating positive, lasting change. To support our next phase of growth and ensure the highest standards of governance, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee and serve as an active member of our Board of Trustees. As Committee Chair, you will play a crucial strategic role in supporting the delivery of our mission. This includes providing strong oversight of risk management, regulatory compliance and financial governance—ensuring our organisation remains robust and sustainable for the long term. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise and make a meaningful difference to local communities.
We’re seeking individuals who bring energy, commitment combined with professional experience in finance, accountancy and/or risk management.
Active Black Country are also looking for new trustees to help tackle inequality and support our mission of promoting inclusion, empowering communities and enabling more people to be active, move more and play sport. We’re seeking individuals with insight, curiosity and a passion for social change — whether that comes from professional expertise or lived experience. Our trustees ask questions, share ideas, build partnerships and spot opportunities to make movement part of everyday life. We want our board to reflect the diverse voices of the communities we serve. If you can bring fresh perspectives and broaden our thinking, we’d love to hear from you.
