We're looking for a People Advisor to be part of our success story, supporting our sopp+sopp business.
About The Role
Supporting, guiding, and coaching People Managers across Activate Group to effectively manage a variety of people issues in line with Group processes and HR best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a variety of employee relations cases through to completion, including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, flexible working, performance, and routine occupational health.
- Recording case updates on HR system and providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
- Upskill and coach People Managers on managing employee relations cases, using manager toolkits to support and constructively challenging approaches where appropriate.
- Develop and deliver training to People Managers, supporting their development with managing employee relations cases.
- Advise on relevant policies and processes remotely and face to face.
- Managing recruitment campaigns from advert through to appointment, and on-boarding, including sourcing, screening, and supporting with interviews / assessment centres.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, including People Team and Departmental/Team Managers across the Group.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Activate Group to be able to provide clear and consistent support to all business areas.
- Input into policy/process reviews and updates, providing insight to People Partners.
- Support People Operations Team with a variety of HR queries, including administrative support where required and acting as a point of escalation.
- Support on a range of projects to improve the team member experience and operational delivery.
- Provide advice to People Managers on non‑complex health and safety queries, escalating to the Head of Health, Safety & Environment where appropriate.
- Act as an ambassador for the Group Values, ensuring that the values are embedded in every stage of the team member journey.
Skills And Experience
- Experience of managing a high-volume employee relations caseload within an HR shared service model.
- Experience of managing recruitment campaigns.
- Strong attention to detail with first‑class written and verbal communication skills.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law, relevant legislation and employee relations best practice.
- Previous experience in a contact centre or bodyshop environment is desirable but not essential.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified/working towards (or equivalent experience).
