About The Role
To provide first‐class quality control for all vehicles moving through the bodyshop, acting as a final point of sign‐off before their return to the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the AAR team to ensure all body repairs and paintwork meet defined quality procedures.
- Visually inspect all vehicles in line with the provided job card and ensure all departments are following the correct repair process.
- Highlight quality issues and liaise with the Assistant Manager to ensure re‐work is delivered in a timely manner.
- Accurately complete all quality control documentation to AAR standards.
- Meet bodyshop set targets (e.g., 10 vehicles per day).
- Adhere to all BS10125 standards (TBC).
- Work with the site's receptionist to ensure that all vehicles are returned to customers within agreed SLAs.
- Maintain awareness of all Health & Safety requirements and lead by example.
- Control the flow of vehicles coming in and out of the workshop.
Skills And Experience
- Experience of working in the repair industry, vehicle legislation and trade practices.
- Knowledge of the repair process.
- Attention to detail.
- The confidence to highlight issues constructively and explain the repair process in simple terms.
- Ability to work under pressure and drive high performance in others.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
