About the role: As a Learning Support Mentor, you will be responsible for providing mentorship for new employees and supporting the development of existing staff. This role will play a critical part in supporting new employees into the role of a Learning Support Assistant at Activate Learning. You will ensure they have access to appropriate resources and receive a comprehensive induction upon starting with us and beyond. In addition, you will support our existing staff with day-to-day duties, offering guidance where necessary. You will work closely with the LSA Team Lead to ensure we deliver positive achievements whilst providing high-quality support to our students throughout their learning journey.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), term time only, permanent contract.
What do you need to be a successful Learning Support Mentor at Activate Learning?
- Ability to communicate effectively with a supportive mentoring approach that can motivate and encourage success.
- English and Maths at a minimum of level 2.
- Experience of working with young people or adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
- Evidence of teamwork and building good relationships with internal and external customers.
