Responsibilities
As a Governor on the Activate Learning Corporation Board you will:
- Provide strategic leadership and governance to the senior leadership team.
- Work alongside colleagues to guide a respected organisation that makes a tangible difference to thousands of lives.
- Attend board meetings across our colleges in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Surrey; some travel between sites is required.
Qualifications
- Senior leadership and strategic decision‑making experience.
- Strong personal commitment to education and the transformation it enables.
- Experience with the complexity of large organisations and ability to operate confidently at a strategic level.
- Knowledge and leadership experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Further Education – insight into learner pathways, funding, and policy.
- Higher Education – strategic understanding of the sector, partnerships, and pathways that support learner progression.
- Careers and Digital – expertise in preparing learners for the evolving world of work and leveraging digital innovation in education.
