Our Corporation Board is made up of highly skilled Governors from diverse professional and personal backgrounds. They bring invaluable expertise, dedicating their time and insight to provide strategic guidance and governance to our senior leadership team.
What do we look for in a Governor? When vacancies arise on the Corporation Board, we seek outstanding individuals who share our vision and values. We are particularly interested in candidates who:

- Understand the complexity of large organisations and can operate confidently at a strategic level.
As a Governor, you will work alongside talented and experienced colleagues to provide strategic leadership to a respected organisation that makes a tangible difference to thousands of lives. Board meetings take place across our colleges in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Surrey, so some travel between sites is required.
What skills are we currently seeking? We regularly review the expertise on our Board to ensure it reflects the needs of our organisation and the communities we serve. At present, we are especially keen to hear from candidates with knowledge and leadership experience in the following areas:
- Further Education - knowledge of the FE sector, with insight into learner pathways, funding, and policy.
- Higher Education - strategic understanding of the higher education sector, partnerships, and pathways that support learner progression.
- Careers and Digital - expertise in preparing learners for the evolving world of work, and leveraging digital innovation in education.
