About the role: Hospitality & Chef Teacher
We are seeking an experienced teacher with a strong culinary background to join our Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Culinary Arts provision within the Activate Learning Hospitality and Catering department at Guildford College. You will be responsible for delivering, assessing, and tracking student achievement across our courses.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with passion and drive who is committed to inspiring students and enabling them to unlock their potential, and with a catering curriculum which is truly unique we provide students with outstanding opportunities to advance their culinary skills.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Guildford College Campus.
What do you need to be a successful Hospitality & Chef Teacher at Activate Learning?
- Proven teaching experience is essential
- Strong professional background as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie.
- Relevant qualifications to teach in Hospitality and Catering
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance teaching, assessment, and industry engagement.
While we will support your continued professional development in the FE sector, this role is not suitable for candidates without teaching experience.
You will also work closely with industry partners-including hotel chains, restaurants, and catering employers-to create opportunities for students such as work placements, apprenticeships, mentorships, and masterclass demonstrations.
