Overview
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our Construction team at Guildford College. If you have both hands-on industry experience and a passion for teaching, we would love to hear from you!
This is a full-time (37 hours per week), permanent position based at our Guildford campus. We are offering a competitive salary of up to Β£43,869 per annum, and may consider a hard-to-fill supplement, depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
As a Carpentry Teacher, you will inspire and develop the next generation of skilled professionals. Your enthusiasm and knowledge will help shape students futures and prepare them for successful careers in the construction industry. The Construction Faculty has a strong track record of delivering high-quality vocational Carpentry courses, with a clear focus on employability. We achieve this through excellent industry partnerships and a teaching team made up of experienced professionals. We offer well-established and highly successful, professionally accredited Carpentry programs.
- Hold a minimum Level 3 NVQ in Site Carpentry
- Have extensive industry experience
- Be passionate about training and developing the next generation of Carpenters
- Possess strong organisational and time management skills
- Be a team player, keen to contribute to a supportive and collaborative working environment
Experience in further education, distance learning, or apprenticeship delivery is highly desirable.
