About the Role
As an Assessor in Carpentry, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment to Level 2 & Level 3 Carpentry Apprentices across Berkshire. Working in real-world workplace environments, you’ll ensure apprentices gain the practical skills, knowledge, and industry experience needed to excel in their careers.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering engaging training and assessment to apprentices across Level 2 & 3 Apprenticeships.
- Monitoring learner progress, developing and ensuring the Apprentices meet apprenticeship standards.
- Assess practical skills and theoretical knowledge in line with professional benchmarks.
- Support apprenticeship recruitment, retention, and achievement targets.
- Administer assessments and contribute to internal verification to maintain quality assurance
- Build strong industry relationships, enhancing employment opportunities for learners.
What you need to be successful
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry (or equivalent).
- Assessing qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one
- Strong mentoring and communication skills, with a passion for training and developing learners.
