We are looking for temporary Summer Enrolment Assistants to support our Admissions teams across the summer, the busiest part of the academic year. As the first point of contact for new learners, you’ll be welcoming and guiding them through each stage of the enrolment process - whether face‑to‑face or by email. You’ll offer clear, friendly support to help them complete online forms, answering questions about courses, and providing guidance on key steps such as right‑to‑study checks and bursary applications.
Once students have started their enrolment you’ll move into the administrative side of the process, accurately reviewing and processing their information using our internal systems. This part of the role requires attention to detail, a good understanding of college policies and procedures, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently and independently. You’ll be part of a well‑established and approachable team that works collaboratively to ensure all students receive an excellent experience from start to finish.
These opportunities are on a casual basis from the end of July until mid‑September, to support our main student enrolment period, and will average 35 hours per week which may include some scheduled Saturday mornings. Training will be provided to help you build the knowledge needed to support students confidently and carry out the administrative elements of the role to a high standard. Training will take place from the 27th of July 2026, and attendance will be mandatory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming and supporting students through their full enrolment journey
- Assisting with online enrolment and ensuring all required documents are completed correctly
- Carrying out ID and eligibility checks, including right‑to‑study verification
- Providing accurate information about bursaries and support available
- Processing enrolment data using internal systems with accuracy and care
- Working closely with other teams to resolve queries and ensure a smooth student experience
- Scanning and uploading documents
This is a great opportunity to join a welcoming team in a role where your work truly makes a difference. If you enjoy working with people, have a strong sense of responsibility, and are keen to be part of a vibrant student‑focused environment then we’d love to hear from you.
Roles are available at our Berkshire campuses; Reading College and Bracknell and Wokingham College. In‑person interviews will take place in Reading during the week commencing 15th June 2026. Please note that initial training may take place at the Reading College even for staff working at Bracknell and Wokingham College.
