Activate Learning are looking for a Maths Teacher to join our Construction Faculty at Reading College. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with the ability to inspire, so that students studying on our GCSE Maths courses have a memorable learning experience. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, starting mid August 2026.
What do you need to be successful as a GCSE Maths Teacher at Activate Learning?
- A genuine interest in working with and developing young people.
- Understanding the importance of tailoring our teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
- Essential to use strategies that promote engagement, accommodate diverse learning styles, and build a strong foundation for academic growth.
- Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
- Qualifications or experience to teach on our Maths courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher.
For this role you will need the following:
- A level 3 qualification in Maths or a related subject.
- Construction experience would be an advantage.
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
