We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Teacher to join our Construction and Engineering Faculty at Reading College. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Levels 1, 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics programmes. Our faculty has an excellent track record of delivering vocational programmes with employability at their core.
As an Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Levels 1-3 programmes
- Plan and assess learning in line with awarding body and college requirements
- Support learners to develop both technical competence and workplace behaviours
- Act as a positive role model, inspiring learners to achieve their full potential
- Contribute to the continued development of the Engineering curriculum
What do you need to be a successful Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Teacher at Activate Learning?
- A Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering and/or Mechatronics
- Relevant industry experience within Electrical Engineering and/or Mechatronics
- GCSEs at Grade 4/C or equivalent in Maths and English
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to engage, motivate and support learners with differing needs
- Teaching qualification and/or previous teaching experience (Desirable)
