We are looking for a Chemistry Teacher who is not only passionate about their subject but also dedicated to inspiring and engaging students. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning.
In this role, the post holder will be responsible for teaching A-Level Chemistry, delivering high-quality lessons that support student achievement and progression. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources for Chemistry, participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and school events, and support extracurricular activities or clubs related to the subject area.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week based at our Reading College.
What do you need to be a successful Chemistry Teacher at Activate Learning?
Successful candidates will possess an appropriate professional qualification and a Level 6/Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (or a closely related subject). Ideally, candidates will have some teaching experience, particularly at A-Level. While we prefer applications from qualified teachers with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we are open to considering unqualified applicants who can inspire our learners and are willing to complete a teaching qualification. Candidates must have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and should demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and exemplify the attributes we cultivate in our learners.
