About the role: Do you want to transform your career and pass on your hospitality and catering experience to the next generation?
We are looking for a Chef to teach and support our Level 3 Culinary Arts provision within the Activate Learning Hospitality and Catering department at Oxford College.
Your responsibilities include delivery, assessment, and tracking of student achievement for the courses.
This is a permanent, part‑time position working 26 hours per week (0.70 FTE) at the City of Oxford College Campus. Days can be flexible for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver course content and assessments for Level 3 Culinary Arts.
- Track and report student progress and achievement.
- Engage with industry partners to arrange work placements, apprenticeships, mentorships, and masterclass demonstrations.
- Support the professional development of students and contribute to the college’s learning culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie.
- A culinary qualification.
- Teaching experience – essential; teaching, assessing and IQA qualifications are highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Previous teaching experience to demonstrate inspirational educator attributes.
