Activate Learning is seeking an inspiring and passionate Hairdressing Teacher to join our talented hairdressing team at Oxford College. We’re looking for a motivated, creative, and enthusiastic professional who can spark curiosity, nurture talent, and ensure our students have a truly memorable learning experience.

You will use your strong Hairdressing knowledge and practical expertise to deliver engaging, purposeful lessons to our level 2 students. Working closely with our dedicated team, you’ll help plan and deliver a curriculum that meets current industry demands and prepares students for successful careers.

Our Lifestyles department has an outstanding track record of delivering vocational hairdressing courses with employability at their core. Through strong industry links and a teaching team of highly experienced professionals, we offer well-established, professionally accredited programmes that consistently achieve excellent outcomes.

This is a permanent, part-time role working 22.2 hours per week (0.60 FTE) based at City of Oxford college. These hours will be negotiable depending on timetabling for next academic year, but will include Tuesdays.

  • Professional expertise: Minimum Level 3 Hairdressing qualification, recent industry experience, and an Assessor’s Award (IQA and teaching qualifications are desirable).
