About the role:

Activate Learning has an exciting opportunity available for a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our teaching team based at City of Oxford College. This role centres on delivering our A-level Art course, including Fine Art, alongside providing A-level tutorial support. It offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven teacher who is committed to inspiring students to realise their full potential, develop key personal attributes, and grow into confident, lifelong learners. This is a permanent, part-time role working 22.2 hours per week (0.60 FTE) based at City of Oxford College.

What do you need to be successful as an Art Teacher at Activate Learning?

  • Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners.
  • We want teachers who can ensure that students leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification or working towards a teaching qualification.
  • Have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree within an Art.
  • Have recent teaching experience in an FE environment and a proven track record of managing and tutoring student groups.
