Activate Learning are looking for a Maths Teacher to join our Landbased Faculty at Merrist Wood College. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with the ability to inspire, so that students studying on our Maths courses have a memorable learning experience. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning.
This is a permanent, part‑time role working 22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE) at our Merrist Wood College campus. These hours are currently timetabled for Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, though these may be subject to change for the new academic year.
What do you need to be successful as a Maths Teacher at Activate Learning?

- Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
- As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our Maths courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
For this role you will need the following:
- A level 3 qualification in Maths or a related subject.
- Landbased experience would be an advantage.
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
