Our Higher Education Counselling provision at Guildford College, part of Activate Learning, is growing and we are now looking for a HE Programme Coordinator to join us in delivering and coordinating our undergraduate programmes. The post holder will become part of a friendly, professionally qualified, hard‑working and dedicated team on the BACP accredited Foundation and BA (Top up) Degree in partnership with University of Middlesex. Primary teaching responsibility will be on the BSc (Hons) Counselling and FdSc in Counselling. Our counselling team covers a range of counselling theoretical approaches, practice and research interests, with a team approach to teaching and learning. This is a permanent part‑time role working 16.9 hours per week (0.46 FTE) at our Guildford College campus.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Enthusiastic, team‑oriented, flexible individual with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and presenting skills.
- BSc/BA or above qualification in Counselling or Counselling Psychology.
- Accredited member of a professional counselling body (i.e. BACP or UKCP) or working towards accreditation.
- Current practitioner with at least two years’ supervised counselling practice.
- Experience of an integrative approach of different therapy modalities.
- Supervision qualification or willingness to work towards this.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to complete a teaching qualification.
