Activate Learning are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring GCSE English teacher to join our team based at our Guildford College. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential. Alternatively, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or English graduate looking to get into teaching.
Additionally, you may also be asked to contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources for GCSE Language, Literature and A Level English. As well as participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and school events, and support extracurricular activities or clubs related to the subject area. This is a permanent, part‑time role working 24 hours (FTE 0.65) at our Guildford College.
What you need to be successful as an English Teacher at Activate Learning:
- A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
- You will have experience in GCSE delivery and teaching.
Requirements:
- A level 3 qualification in English or a related subject
- Teaching experience
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in the further education sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
