Activate Learning is looking for a Business Teacher to join our Academic Studies to teach GCSE Business to students at Banbury and Bicester College. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate individuals with the ability to inspire, so that our Business students have a memorable learning experience. With your excellent subject knowledge and practical skills, you will work collaboratively with our existing team of talented and passionate teachers to plan and deliver purposeful practical and theory lessons on GCSE Business. You will contribute to curriculum development that meets the needs of changing industry demands. This is a permanent, part‑time role working 7.4 hours per week (0.20 FTE) on Wednesdays at our Banbury and Bicester College campus.

What do you need to be successful as a Business Teacher at Activate Learning?

  • We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.
  • A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
  • Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement.
  • As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our Business courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development, and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
  • Experience of working in any business‑related sector is required.
  • Educated to a degree level.
  • It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential.

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
